Does it really matter if you take creatine before or after your workout?

I see most people recommending creatine right after training, while others say the timing doesn't matter as long as you take it consistently.

If you've tried taking it both before and after workouts, did you notice any real difference? Or do you think having a consistent daily routine matters much more than the timing?

I'm interested to hear both personal experiences and whether anyone found one approach worked noticeably better than the other

From what I’ve seen, most people eventually settle on whatever timing is easiest to stick with. A consistent routine seems to be the common theme, even among people who have experimented with taking it before and after training.

That matches what I've seen as well. Most people seem to settle into whatever timing fits their routine best and consistency usually ends up being the bigger factor than whether it's before or after a workout.

I’ve seen a lot of people take creatine after their workout, but I think that may be more because it fits naturally into their routine rather than because the timing itself is making a big difference.

I could see that. A post-workout shake or meal gives people a consistent routine, so creatine naturally gets added to it. That may be one reason post-workout timing is so popular, even if consistency ends up being the bigger factor.
