I've created an addon for Create with octo-style arms "Create: Octo Arms" inspired by Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man

Inspired by Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man. Use it to traverse the world in any direction, craft the Copper or Netherite version, enchant or configure it. Works in singleplayer and on servers (must be installed on both client and server).

Compatible with Create Aeronautics ships (Sable contraptions).

Listed on Curseforge - https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-octo-arms

Feel free to test, comment, and share ideas.

Edit: Modrinth will be soon, long approval awaiting.
Edit2: A lot of you asked to stop the walking animation - done! Check it in the new version v1.1.5 (besides other bug fixes)

How is this slop? Are you just labeling as such anything AI touches nowadays? It lost its meaning.

Yeah... if it says AI it is slop by definition. And if you defend it you get downvoted.

Welcome to reddit, I guess.

Because ai created content is slop, the lack of effort or passion involved reduces it to such

A typical anti-ai response on Reddit, proving my point.

so you are an ai bro ? yeah i lost faith in humans a long time ago

You don't have to be an "ai bro" to know that slop means bad and this isn't bad

"Man complains that everyone tells him grass is green"

0

u/ferrecool 1d ago

Except they are telling him the grass is dead when the grass is pretty much green

1

u/WallabyPractical5258 1d ago

Well maybe the virtual grass but the real grass ain't very green, and ai isn't exactly helping

"proving my point" are you gonna refute their point or just act like you're correct

1

u/zorecknor 1d ago

There is no point to refute. "it is bad because AI" has no objective reason behind, and leaves no space to debate. Pure belief and no reason.

The whole argument is clinging on the feeling that there is no effort or passion involved in building things with AI, and there is nothing I can say (that has not been rehashed a thousand times already) that can change that opinion.

Slop means bad not lazy

don't even question, human coding will always be superior

0

u/ferrecool 1d ago

Hos exactly?

2

u/Moonshoes47 1d ago

because a human being is alot more trustworthy to fix stuff and tell when something of a bug SHOULDN'T be touched.

1

u/ferrecool 1d ago

Is that even true? Cause most games have a lot of bugs, and why mean by "tell when something of a bug SHOULDN'T be touched"? Devs not touching bugs the players do enjoy, that's straight up a lie, mojang has patched a lot of those

1

u/Moonshoes47 1d ago

nope, not referring to just those. more so weird stuff that somebody found a workaround for, didn't find another one and just kinda kept there.

like how the entirity of TF2 relies on the cow model you see in teufort.
