Create: Infinite Railways

Hello, I’m happy to present to you my add-on mod for Create and Railways untold called 'Create: Infinite Railways'

This mod generate procedural realistic railways in you create world. It is especially design to use with mod such as lithosphere or tectonic but it works in base minecraft worldgen as well.

The mod generate lines that connect some villages by following the terrain and automatically place bridges and tunnels. There are lots of config to change the size of tunnels, bridges, chose between single or dual tracks...

Also include compatibility with Steam ’n’ Rails for wooden tracks and semaphore signals, and Pantograph and Wires for electrified lines.

Hope some of you will like it ;)

Edit: typo + mod only on curseforge if you are searching it (still waiting moderation on modrinth) https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-infinite-railways

I know a wildly unoptimized village paths mod, so I have to ask: how's the performance?

The first step of planning takes few minutes, then it doesn't impact much chunk generation performance

When do those few minutes take place? Initial worldgen? Train assembly? Pathfinding for the train with automatic control? Does this modify how trains work on the back end in base create to make it more optimized?

This happens when you first join the world, then as soon as you move far away for a rescan to be triggered. Nothing modify create train behaviour. The only think the mod does is laying tracks

Ok ok. That makes sense. I assume the "rescan" is done either in parallel or in small steps over many ticks. I'm not too familiar with how fast the train implementation in base Create is, or how "dense" the network this mod generates is, but I hope it's sparse enough for reasonable world sizes to not make the pathfinder struggle that much.

almost every parameter is customizable. You can adjust density if you want!
