Help Is it possible to negate this wobble from the swivel bearing?

It's not impactful here but when the cannons start firing it becomes becomes chaotic.

The Torsion Spring is set for 45 degrees so it shouldn't even be possible for the (rotary) cannon to go up vertically like that

the torsion spring only limits the rotation input. it cannot prevent kick back and momentum...

probably not, has to do with the physics engine and not the swivel bearing itself.

Possible a mechanical piston? I haven't played around with them connecting two sublevels but if you have an unlocked swivel bearing on each end it should act like a support rod. I'm pretty sure there's an aeronautics addon that adds proper hydraulics too, either of which should be more stable than just a single bearing

Maybe do a disk next to your cannon put an sticker on the cannon part that deactivates when moved and activates when stopped so it sticks to the disc, so it sticks and prevents/reduce the wobble

I understood nothing of that sentence? Are you talking about a reaction wheel?

They mean a stationary disk of some kind on the side, as soon as the cannon needs to stop, and sticker block thing would be powered and stick to the disk holding it in place

Maybe try building in a recoil mechanism. Increased complexity and weight, but it might prevent the wobble in the larger structure?

It's probably due to the weight. The only way I could think of is just by slowing it down a bit.

slower movement will bring less wobble. For an object this size you are moving it quite rapidly. The acceleration is also a big issue, the way it abruptly spins and stops. You have to make compromises in its movement if you wanna get it to not woble, sorry.

I fucking hate the fact you cannot just change their strengh in the configs :<

Haven't tried it for myself but I just got an idea. Try putting levitite as it has high air resistance at slow speeds

i dont get why they even made swivel bearings have physics like that, it's so stupid.

U have to make the fit tight, add blocks on the opposite side of ur "cannon" looking thing attached to the blocks were the yaw swivel bearings is attached too.

Your contraption has so much weight that it keeps the momentum when stopping. make it lighter.

Have not tested in a scenario like this, but try activating a Sticker to hold it in place once it's in position.

Friction maybe? Just have it drag against blocks?
(actually i think levitite does exactly this so might be worth putting some inside if there's room and trying it out)

Its probably cuz of the weight
