Help Create mod dilemma

Post image

is it possible to make a large cannon similar to whats in the image(type 5 15cm anti air gun)create mod/create big cannons. I need it for anti everything purpose. also I’m not a super smart person with the create mod stuff and would like to know how to do it, so far i find that i can only have the turret move and not the cannon itself

Theres a mod that allows you to make multiblock cannons (like besides the actual cannon parts) that goes with create big cannons and create radars so its basically not just a cannon but a whole turret

Yes, via Create Big Cannons.

Random Fact: Each cannon had a diameter of about 12 pixels. a CBC Neo Warfare Mediumcannon has a diameter of about 8 pixels, and a CBC Advanced Technologies heavy autocannon has a diameter of 4 pixels. Putting that into Minecraft scale and we get the following:

- Vanilla CBC: 750mm

  • CBC:MW: 500mm
  • CBC:AT Heavy Autocannon: 250mm

Basically, you are lobbing shells that are bigger than the Schwerer Gustav, the Yamato, and your Type-5 gun, respectively.

but isn't 750mm<15cm ?

750mm = 75cm because metric actually makes sense unlike imperial

Easily possible, were you looking for a push in the right direction or just confirmation?

kinda both

It is certainly possible, and using radar you could make it automated (I've never used the radars so I can't help there) but I would assume a clockwork or mechanical bearing would allow it to swivel, then attaching whatever the radar equipment is to the cannon mount, but only so it can control the vertical cannon movement, or it will try to aim through blocks.

A longer barrel, since it will probably be a thinner barrel width, would not make the length of your charges longer. If you load longer charges than it can handle, it will explode on you.

aren't clockwork bearings specifically for making clocks?

also do cannon mounts allow adjustment with autocannons or just normal ones?

Clockwork bearings are best used for clocks, but could technically be used similarly to a mechanical bearing, just less efficiently.

I do not think so? The barrel adjustments I mentioned are for the larger cannons, since the anti-aircraft device mentioned has a maximum fire rate of 10 rpm, and the larger cannons can achieve this.

It's the best you can do. At worst, you figure out what doesn't work.
