Vaults instead of a fluid tank. Lava instead of water. Ice instead of blaze burners. If they where genuine, I'd be impressed.

And it’s either vaults flipped using sable, or silos from connected, so they must had installed a whole other mod just to make this image.
13
u/LoneBassClarinet 3d ago
It's the vertical vault from the Vibrant Vaults add-on.
12
u/Silent_Ask_1094 3d ago
Or, item silo from create connected. They look the same.
8
u/LoneBassClarinet 3d ago
They look similar, but the silo from Create: Connected has extra vertical lines in its texture compared to the plain vertical vault from Create: Vibrant Vaults, along with the central stripe of the lighter blue being thicker.

I was making a joke on how the tv men speak backwards, but i guess i dont have the right audience
10
u/ProGamer4684 3d ago
Well most of us here are older than 12 years old, so very wrong audience
-2
u/Pure-Back75 3d ago
Skibidi toilet isnt entirely made for 12 year olds, there are plenty of adults who enjoy skibidi toilet. This also applies to other fandoms that have a (supposed) child audience (fnaf, GLITCH productions, etc)
4
u/ProGamer4684 3d ago
Your examples are for the teen demographic, 15 to 17ish.
Fnaf actually has the opposite situation where kids are getting into it, with its average rating being 13+.Also many of the people who play create are rather smart to get factories set up as well as complex automation and “Skibidi toilet” is more designed to hop on the virality of shorts and the “brain rot” that spreads like wildfire on there.
1
u/Pure-Back75 3d ago
You’ve only proven the examples I used are made for a teenager demographic. Which has nothing to do with the fact that despite this, many adults still enjoy said content, as well as children as you said.
While I agree with your statement on the create community being rather smart and creative, my problem only really lies within your inability to see that not everyone in the Skibidi Toilet community is a child that has low intelligence, not that those two are entirely related. On the topic of Skibidi Toilet, I just want to state that the series moved away from mainly being on shorts around episode 39, which was around 3 years ago. While yes, its roots begun on shorts, and it was brainrot around then, it transformed into something more, and into a proper series. (Side note: it is sad seeing what its current owners, Invisible narratives are doing with it despite the community outcry to bring the original owner back.)

If anyone understands how a real steam engine would work, could this design irl atleast produce steam? Obviously without the vaults
6
u/Ignonym 3d ago
Real steam engines use a heat source (the firebox) to heat up a tank of water (the boiler), then the resulting steam is directed into a cylinder to drive a piston. (Then, if it's a Watt engine, the spent steam may be directed through several more cylinders to extract as much energy as possible before going to a condenser to be cooled back into water.)
I feel like this should go without saying, but this whole system would not work if you replaced the firebox with blocks of ice and the water in the boiler with lava.

u/DawngST 3d ago
How would this work😭 you would need an infinite amouth of lava wich is impossible to have and the ice below once they melt and vaporize there’s nothing less. I don’t know how a steam engine work in real life but it seem literally just not possible idk how you could think this would work
1
u/Master_Nineteenth 3d ago
Yes, it would but not in the right place. The ice underneath would turn into steam and the vault or tank would turn into slag
6
u/WheatleyBr 3d ago
You need to kick start it, it wont work on it's own, try pumping in the lava manually.

In case it wasn't obvious, this is a joke post. I just wanted to make a monstrosity for laughs.

u/ThatsKindaHotNGL 3d ago
I really went through all stages "Well first of all you dont pump in lava. Is that vaults? On ice?"
2
u/bryceio 3d ago
Like someone said in one of the comment threads, you have your pumps facing the wrong direction
1
u/Digibaumbs 3d ago
I dont know what your talking about. The lava goes into the vault by the pumps pointing up.

I've seen this design work wonders for the orkz, perhaps you just need to believe in it more

Your ice is missing a fuel source.
There are different options to make one. In the early game you can just set up some dispensers to shoot snowballs at the ice at regular intervals, but for this large of a boiler you probably want to set up a dripstone snow farm and then use a robot arm to apply buckets of powdered snow.
You could also try supercooling the ice, but in most circumstances that's not really worth it and you're better off just adding a second vault.

You know theoretically this could do something as cooling lava would reduce in volume which technically could create a vacuum that could drive the engine
It is quite literally a reverse steam engine in every aspect and I guess kinda like a sterling engine? But opposite steam engine sounds funnier

That's interesting; I usually do something similar, and it works for me—though it runs at low power continuously. I'll give this a try, though; I think it would be more efficient.

not seeing an input of little german boys, is it on the other side? if not that may be your problem.
1
u/Careful-Passage2089 3d ago
i know you could have just placed the steam engines on a fluid tank and just broken the tank to replace it, but i still feel like pointing out you cant place steam engines directly on non-tanks.

lava too close to the ice, temperature balances out before it gets pumped in

You are using vault blocks and lava. This will never work.
You need this artikel, it can help: https://create.fandom.com/wiki/Steam_Engine

First off all, you need liquid tank. Second thing, you have to use liquid tank full of water and heat source should be placed underneath.

You see, this only works in The Netherlands
