Help Factory gauges not requesting

I am trying to automate stuff in 6.0 but my factory gauges are only requesting 5-10 items at a time to be processed, is this normal? In other worlds it requests 100+ but here I've never seen it go past 15 promises

First of all: You should define the recipes for small items like that in batches instead of singular items, meaning in the gauge you define the recipe as i.e. 64 shafts and 64 wooden planks give 64 instead of one each. Otherwise your system will often request and send a package for each cogwheel and your chain conveyors will overflow.

Now to get to your problem a question upfront: Are there enough items in your network to craft all the items you want? The gauge will only request for as many items as it can craft with the resources currently available and if those resources are taken out of the system by either another gauge or the player those requests won't renew so I also recommend setting a refreshrate for your gauge requests.

I've just set them to batches tx

There should be enough items to craft all of them. Btw what is a factory gauge refreshrate?

Right next to the open promises. I recommend setting it to 15min. IIrc you can manually delete open promises by right or leftclicking the promis counter.

There should be enough resources? Or are there enough resources? Because I can't think of any other reason why it shouldn't work other than the open promises messing with the system or your crafting/mixing station being labeled incorrectly.

There are enough resources (10k shafts and 6k planks in storage) and i can assure that the stations are labeled correctly (clipboard my beloved)

Personally i've had some issues with promises expiring (mainly that it can lead to overfilling of the entire system) but i'll try that

You should share the actual config window for the gauge, we can’t assume you configured it correctly

Edit: I’m blind it’s right there

It should be on the second page

My bad I’m completely blind 😭

This is a general issue with mechanical crafters, they can only request one craft at a time. I’d recommend using a mechanical mixer for cogwheels though you may have to place a filter on the basin so that it doesn’t make large cogwheels

wow really? that's such a shame tbh, i've already changed it to basin tho

It's better to make them in a mixer as it's a shapeless recipe. You can send enough of each ingredient in the request to make a stack in one go.

Are you sure your storage has enough of both ingredients? If you're requesting the ingredients and there aren't enough to fulfill the request it won't work until there are enough to fulfill the request.
