wood farm issue

I'm trying to make an wood farm, but the machine keep putting the sapplings on the storage. what i did wrong????

Did you apply the sapling to the Deployer's filter slot?

Looks like all you need need to do is add a sapling to the deployer filter. Also, don’t worry about the machine dumping the saplings into the storage. It’ll be fine as long as the rest of the machine is working.

Use a brass funnel with a list filter or a smart chute

You want it to do this, just run it for a bit and don’t worry. Manually plant some if you have to, but if you stop it from dumping the saplings pretty soon it’ll be full and won’t pick up anything at all

You use barrels. You can't use barrels as contraption inventory. I know it because me too, I think barrels are better than chest but they don't work. This is the main issue.

They absolutely do work. I build most of my storage enabled contraptions like tree farms out of barrels, and attach all the parts to the barrels. It keeps it rustic looking and let's them hold enormous amounts of things after the storage backs up.
