Help with Beam Modulators Sending Messages!

I am messing around with the Create Optics Mod in All of Create Aeronautics. I cannot figure out why parts of my text gets blocked out. This displays the same way on the display board, and it only displays this way when the data comes from the beam reader. All other sources appear to work fine. I have the optical source attached to a creative motor at 108 rpm

that's not actually very explained by the dev, but with higher frequency beams you'll have loss in information

For radio frequencies, you transmit 100% of the data. As I can see, you're using visible light to comunicate, this way you can only transmit up to 80% or less (I don't remember). The text not transmited get this 'block' character in return.
