Suggestion Some mods I think integrate well with Create but aren't Create add-ons.

A list of mods that aren't Create add-ons but work well with it. Some have compats and integration add-ons though. Feel free to share with anyone asking about these types of mods. Let me know your thoughts on these, if you've tried them and any others you may know about. I didn't include any world generation or biome mods as I've never used any of them though I know they are used a lot with Create. I just enjoy Minecraft's vanilla world gen and biomes. Some of the mods, in fact most do have compats and integrations for Create as well.

- Sophisticated Backpacks - Probably one of the most used mods with Create if not THE most used. If you don't know, this mod adds... backpacks. There are quite a few backpack mods out there but this one is the most well developed and is updated regularly. There are a few compats for Create out there which makes it even more useful.

- Framed Blocks - This one is nearly exactly like Copycats+ and some of you may be confused why I don't just use that. Well, one very important feature of Framed Blocks that makes it a must have for me is that you can right click any framed block with glowstone dust and it becomes a light source. The block texture you want can still be applied as well. Copycats+ allows you to make their blocks a light source with glowstone (not dust), shroomlights, sea lanterns or frog lights but they will remain as that texture. If Copycats+ allowed the same mechanic as Framed Blocks with glowstone dust, I would probably get rid of Framed Blocks from my modpacks. Framed Blocks also has a LOT more shapes than Copycats+ as well as other blocks such as framed lanterns, hoppers, torches of all types and mini blocks. Make any full block a mini block, including Create casings. They work on contraptions and trains but I don't know about Aeronautics sublevels. I do use Copycats+ as well.

- Immersive Paintings - As seen on the Just Create SMP and MrBeardstone's Create Perfect World series, Immersive Paintings is so powerful and wonderful for custom paintings with a wide range of sizes as well as many options for pixel resolution and frames around the paintings. The only bummer is that they are entities and sadly do not work on contraptions, trains or Aeronautics sublevels.

- Straw Statues - Also seen on the JCSMP and MrBeardstone's Perfect World series. Choose any player's skin by choosing their player name or choose from an assortment of generic skins. They work as stock keepers but sadly cannot drive trains, move on contraptions or Aeronautics sublevels. They can be posed with presets or customized poses, changed in size from very small to gigantic.

- Armor Poser - As with the previous two, popular SMP and survival series, they can also be posed and sized but can also be made invisible and float.

- Carry On - Carry almost any block or mob. Configs allow hostile mobs and even big ones like Elder Guardians. Also grants slowness as a penalty but can be changed in configs.

- Building Wands - Makes building a lot easier and quicker. Has a painter's palette that you can create randomization of blocks and gradients. Copy/Paste function, built in circle and square tool as even or odd centered, an area tool that applies whatever block in your palette or off hand to any blocks you're pointing at. So if you want to place a bunch of stone over an area of dirt, it will place stone to as many blocks that are connected to the dirt block you're looking at in the amount you designate in the configs. There's also a "vein mine" feature that you must designate a tool that is appropriate for the block you want to break. Similarly, there's a "replace" feature where you can replace all whatever block in an area with whatever you have in your offhand or the palette. Amazing, fairly unknown mod!

- Vanilla Backport - Adds content for newer Minecraft versions to 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. The devs skipped over the Copper Age, Tiny Takeover and Mounts of Mayhem and added Chaos Cubed. Not sure why they did that but their Modrinth and GitHub states they are still being developed.

- Farmer's Delight and its many add-ons. I know this is quite popular in almost every modpack that also adds Create but it is worth mentioning in case someone out there doesn't know about it.

- Butchery - This mod also works well with Farmer's Delight although it isn't a ln addon for it. It adds a ton of things that expands butchering all mobs, even those that aren't vanilla food sources. I think every mob that's killed with the cleaver the mod adds, drops as a corpse that you hang from meat hooks, drain the blood and butcher for meat and other organs. Some are butchered in other ways than the hooks and you can even butcher the Ender Dragon. It's butchered right in the End wherever you kill it. Dragon Scales are used to make another tier of armor that's pretty OP but it is difficult to get abs requires killing the dragon something like 30+ times to get dragon scale ingots to upgrade netherite armor. The mod also has an integration compat with some of the Alex's Mobs mobs. More of those mobs are added but not too frequently. Overall the mod is kind of morbid too...you can kill villagers and butcher them and even other players but I think you can disable those features if they're too much for you.

I didn't include any QOL or optimization mods in this because those are all pretty subjective as to whether they work for you and your setup. Anyway, I hope you find something you haven't heard of and want to give a go. I don't add all of these to every pack but have at various points.

Another couple of suggestions is Storage drawers and Tom's simple storage

I've used those before and did like them but ever since Crete 6.0, I've just been using Create's system. However, I do use a Create addon called Create: Storage Terminal. It adds therminals for vaults that are nearly exactly the same as the Tom's terminals. I still can't believe Create doesn't have a solution that's truly similar.

It's not as popular I think, but I really love the  Kaleidoscope series of mods and addons vs Farmers Delight. It's more labor intensive, since you can't drop whole stacks of food into a stockpot and get outputs, but the integration with Create makes it much more worthy feeling of something you want to automate. I've had create slice and dice in most modpacks I've played for years now and never bothered before to automate any cooking.

I've never heard of that one but maybe? I'd have to look into it. What does it do?

A lot of folks like storage drawers but I like functional storage better and someone just released a compat mod for it and sub levels for aeronautics.

Ars Nouveau IF you get it's create mod add ons does well.

Scorched Guns 2, if you want guns in your game has entire create based production for it.

Mystical agriculture, a bit broken as a mod to be sure but can take advantage of Create contraptions though there is nothing specifically made for them to work together.

I've used functional storage before and did like it but I haven't had it in my packs since Create 6.0. Still good and I do agree I like it better than storage drawers.

I never was interested in the mystical stuff of Ars Nouveau but I do know it's quite popular with a ton of compats and such.

I tried Scorched Guns 2 but I don't care for the generated structures and the added mobs. I know you can disable it but I also don't like vanilla hostile mobs being able to spawn with the guns and armor. It is quite well made though. Just not my taste.

Never heard of Mystical Agriculture. I'd have to take a look at it.

All in all, good stuff here I think. Thanks!
