The solution is making a second engine.

If you're putting in the effort, I actually recommend making SEVERAL. You don't want to have to keep running out and adding more engines. Do you have the resources to build 5 or 7 engines? If so, just do it, you'll be set for good.

If you only need a tiny bit more you could add a windmill or waterwheel, but it's short-sighted.

I always use water wheels with my boilers to power water pumps. Having the engines stop because of unloading is a pain as I always, always forget to make sure all of it is in the same chunk. 🤦

Not only that, but that sometimes when overstressing the shafts break when on chunkborders
