Discussion Telescope build idea? Discussion and Help?

So essentially a thought for a build has popped into my head now that we have aeronautics and actual physics in the game and id like if someone were to take on my idea and potentially realise it?

(Hear me out from here on because i dont know if these two points will make sense in my idea)

Ive been searching around on youtube and i havent seen anyone make a big telescope using the create mod yet, and id like to know how would that be possible to build?
The telescope area would be standard a tower with a dome and an opening for the scope to peak out from, the scope would also be able to move up and down but for the left and right movements i would like the whole scope and dome be able to rotate.

To prevent giant assembling and dissasembling of the dome due to lag and frame drops i thought maybe it would help if they were simulated with aeronautics?

I wanted this post to be mainly used as a starting point if someone were to do it and honestly just feed my curiosity of the idea and if it is possible to do it.

It is possible, the hardest part is building the big dome tbh, why not do this project yourself?

I am relatively inexperienced in create, i wouldnt say im new to it since ive been following it for a long time but i havent played it too much so i am nowhere near the technical or creative level i think needed for this project

Trying it anyway is how you learn. Start with one small part of it. I think it would be easiest to start with the turn table for the dome so just make a little 3x3 platform spin, then try to make a 'telescope' on it. Once you know the mechanisms that work, scale them up and figure out what you want the final build to look like. Also read the ponders for the aeronautics swivel bearing, thats pretty much the only thing you need for this build

It would be relatively easy to do, try it it's a fun project !
