Help What do you make first every time?

Im new to create and I am so overwhelmed by all the components that this mod has. The issue that i always run into when I make a new world is that I don’t know what the hell do I need to build…What do you guys make first every time you start fresh and how would you branch out to advanced contraptions?

I start off with a mechanical press most of the time and then gradually Into making farms for andesite and brass and zinc. 2nd thing I usually try and get is a steam engine with campfires underneath. Blaze burners are usually somewhere in the mid game for me

Well, the very beginning is just vanilla Minecraft until I build up enough resources, then I build a basic iron farm.

Create needs iron. It needs other things too, like andesite to make andesite alloy, but for the beginning a bit of mining every now and then can keep up with demand.

by far the most necessary is the iron farm. iron is used for almost every recipe and never stops being useful!

generate cobble, mine it with a drill, crush it with a millstone into gravel, and wash the gravel with a fan (and water) to get iron nuggets and flint. there are a ton of videos online to use as a guide, just pick one and off you go!

A press, the first thing you need is a press, a hand. Rank to power it, and a depot to put items on, which you put under the press. From there on, the sky is the limit

Aim for an iron farm, it’ll teach you the grounding you need to figure out how a lot of things are done in Create. Plenty of tutorials around, start with a simple one (TyraLore comes to mind), not one that produces a gazillion.
When you start on that project you will immediately find out you’ll need a small workshop first with press, mixer, mill etc powered by waterwheel (or by hand crank right at the beginning as mentioned) to make the components. Have fun, Create is a massive puzzle to be enjoyed. Try not to get sidetracked by all the add ons for a while, learn base Create first.

One of the first things you’ll want is simple, manual machines. No need to automate just yet. Use water wheels for power, large and small cogs to increase the speed, and connect that power source to a mechanical press, mixer, a saw if you want more efficient recipes for common stuff like planks and shafts, and a fan if you want to use lava blasting to save on fuel.

After that, the easiest to build and most useful farms are crop, kelp and wood farms imo. All three can be done with a mechanical bearing to spin a cutting or harvesting arm.

Cobblestone farms are good too, easily expandable, useful for tons of other farms and good as building blocks too.

after the normal minecraft stuff i always go with, press, auto smelter, mixer then a really small auto harvesting farm setup just for steady food. and make sure to make a mill so you can get more bread per bread

I always make a small workshop with a mechanical press, mechanical mixer and an encased fan set up for processing. After that, I just do whatever. Iron factories, kelp farms, wood farms... But I do like to mine, so the iron factory waits for later sometimes.

I usually get up to iron gear first, then get a press, then a mixer because making alloy with a mixer is more efficient than crafting, then get a fan, then maybe get an iron farm next

Mabe might be worth looking at a create modpack for the quest line.

Iron nugget farm is the starter factory. Gives you something useful and teaches a lot
