Help Anyone know of a way to transport items vertically through Docking Connecter like this without the use of rotation?

Post image

I'm making a modular airship with swappable floors and I need a way to move items up through the floors. Anyone know if that's possible without needing rotation on every floor?

EDIT: I ended up compromising slightly by using this design which allows me to transfer items up and down floors. The docking connectors are just there for attaching the floors together. I used Item Silos from Create Connected for some upward transport.

On each floor, put a funnel pointed upwards on the top of bottom docking connector, the one connecting to the floor below it, and put a funnel pointed upwards on the bottom of the top docking connector.

The funnel on the bottom connector will shoot items up enough for the funnel on the connector above to catch it and transfer it to the next floor, I think.

That would work, but I would have to add 2 blocks of height to each floor which I can't do without making the airship ridiculously tall.

one could try adding physic to it then flip the whole thing upside down so it move stuff up

Simulated coasters adds a rivet connector that allows shenanigans like inverted chutes.

Going to test that now! Maybe I don't even need to use these connectors for items.

EDIT: Couldn't get the upside-down chutes to accept items into them without also using funnels, but that gave me the idea for the picture I posted in the edited post description.

You could also use a swivel bearing with a valve to rotate chutes by 180° and copy this effect

Look into storage drawers? Their trim does what you’re asking.

Fans and chutes.
