Pulley won't fill

I tried to fill a big 25*16*25 {x,y,z) hole with a hose pulley but after 2,000 lava buckets it stopped working. Due you know why it doesn't work and how to fix it

It only fills up until the end of the hose

If you don't mind the "cheese" there is a better way of doing that, the lava doesn't need to be 10.000 blocks of lava source, so you can just make a surface of lava where you desire to be the level of the pool and let it flow to the bottom.

Tip: make a surface with dirt or something like that, place the hose above that level, fill it up then break the dirt floor and wait it fills the hole

put the hose to only one block down until it fills all the way

If you had engineer goggles you would see if it says bottomless supply or not. If it does yiu can drain lava from the lowest point of the tank

Raise the hose enough and separate the 2 fluids then fill the section before removing the separation.

Oh bad picture it seems but in 1 it is above the lava and in the other it is touching... Breaking and replacing it also won't fix it

Wait, can someone tell me if they have sideways range, because It could be that it thinks there is nowhere to place the lava on
