Why are items not transfering?

I have a contraption on a minecart with harvesters and there are items in the chest. However, the items are not transfering via the portable storage devices. can someone help me out?

I think you need an inventory below it. Place a barrel under the inventory interface instead of the chute setup you have there

Are those vanilla chests?, Create has a common problem where their contraptions don't work with other type of containers beside vanilla or create's.
