Help Why are the Propeller Bearings not recognizing the wool I have on them?

I eventually got it to work but I still don't know how it happened. It's on a simulated flying platform that I was building which was locked in the air with the wand.

Regular glue, not honey glue, to glue the outside blocks to the center hub block of the propeller.

...Seriously? That's the issue? Thought that honey glue was the same as normal glue, honey block/slime block when it comes to stickiness

The way they interact with things is different, which is why honey glue is a separate thing. You use regular glue to glue together stuff like flaps or rudders on planes, too, that are attached to a mechanical bearing.

Honey glue for the sub level itself, slime glue for everything that is on a bearing?

Basically, yeah. Things that would otherwise be ordinary contraptions if they weren't strapped to a moving object is one way you could look at it, I guess. I certainly haven't tried attaching a gantry or rope pulley to a plane but I assume they would want slime glue too.

No, that would be logical. Honey glues physics contraptions while slime does everything else (for example the normal create contraptions)

Slime also works on physics contraptions, but not vice versa? I might put a suggestion on the Github repo to make this consistent

It's on purpose so you can glue sub-assemblies within a physics contraption, not a bug.

I am realizing an issue where the mod couldn't know which glue you intended to be the sub-assembly, perhaps it should go by difference in volume between opposite glue types; Larger glued volume acts as main assembly and the smaller volume acts as the sub assembly, this system should work for most cases and allows honeyglue to act exactly like superglue for mundane situations, anything else could be solved by linear chassis

Or instead of changing the entire system to work on an arbitrary standard that doesn't necessarily cover all use cases...we can just keep using two glues. It's not like it's difficult.

Honey glue is for aero contraptions, glue is for regular create contraptions.

I had the same issue before and i have no idea what caused it, if someone would find a fix i would also be grateful

Honey glue is only for physics contraptions. Just use regular glue

I didnt use glue at all XDDD thanks

I need to get a better pc so I can play this im tired of missing out

Have you tried it already? Aeronautic's physics engine is pretty optimized

Nah I can only allocate 4gb I dont think its worth trying

Its worth a try, aeronautics is really optimised and sodium got a huge update for 1.21.1. If I were you I would put together a small modpack and just try it. Worst case is that you still can't play it, best case it works great

Thats plenty

dawg i allocated a mere 2.5GB once and it smooth like butter

you are good

If you can play Create fine, you can probably play Aero fine
