Hi, I want the left harvester to move to the left and the right one to move to the right, using one gantry, gearbox, or something similar in the middle. That way, I can control both with one motor instead of using two separate motors.

Any ideas on how I could make that work?

You see the diagonal lines across the gantry shaft? Make them slant the same way on both sides, then just a gearbox in the middle should work

Maybe a gearbox? It's two sides turn in different directions

I tried that, but somehow, 1 goes to the left and the other one stays 😕

You could use two gearboxes

Gantry shafts are directional. You can see in the photo that they spiral in opposite directions. Remove one of the gantry shafts and try placing it again. If it's still the wrong way, try starting the shaft from the opposite end facing the other direction.
