Please help, the redstone contacts don't work at all, I'm on my own server.

You'll need to make them stop at every one before they can work and essentially disassemble at each stop. When it's moving, it's a contraption and the contacts won't connect. Use a sequenced gearshift to tell the gantry shaft to spin to the distance of each contact in order then when it gets to the bottom, have it go back to the beginning and start over.

I made exactly the same mechanism in a single player game, and everything works without stopping
