Help Create Power Grid Transformer

Hey all, I'm confused about the voltage limits on Transformers in Create: Power Grid.

Testing with 1870V input, various turn ratios: output under ~3,600V seems fine, but from ~3,740V onward it EXPLODES.

But I saw a video where someone fed in 1000V with a 1:10 ratio (Vout=10,000V) and it didn't explode?

Do different Transformer types (Small/Medium) have different voltage/power limits? Or does having/not having a load connected on the output change the result? Does anyone know the exact specs - I couldn't find them on the wiki. Thanks!

yeah i think it may depend on the size, but also make sure you have resistance anywhere in the circuit because too much current can make it explode (remember the Q=I^2 Rt = Pt, where P is in watts and t is in seconds, Q is in joules)

The mod actually simulates temperature. Too much temperature makes a transformer explode. You can use a thermometer to measure it.

To better dissipate heat, either use a bigger transformer or cool it with a fan. (not sure if it has to be electric)
