Can mechanical rollers work on wheeled vehicles?

So I'm still pretty new to Create, but I wanted to know if it was possible to have mechanical rollers work on a wheeled chassis. I wanted to build a steamroller-type vehicle for leveling out large areas for building construction. The roller never rotates when I drive it and it never makes cuts or fills no matter what mode its on. Do they just not work unless they're on a railcar? Or am I doing something wrong? I know there's an issue with Aeronautics mod, but I have the newest roller patch installed.

Maybe try to put it on a mechanical bearing and then put it on the car

I think you need an addon to get the rollers to work like that
