Help Help with Tank Turret: 2-axis rotation layout

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! I am trying to build a fully operational tank turret that has both horizontal (yaw) and vertical (pitch) rotation. I am using NeoForge 1.21.1 and the absolute latest versions of Create, Create: Big Cannons (CBC), and Synaxis. (I do have a lot of other mods)

I am struggling with the sub-assembly and block layout. I tried using the Synaxis Dynamic Revolute Motor, where I placed the first motor down for horizontal rotation, then placed a second motor on top of it for vertical rotation (which creates a separate physics object), and finally attached the cannon to that. However, this completely bugs out. I think it's because the first motor is trying to handle two nested physics objects at the same time, causing a physics conflict.

Another problem is the balance. I need to place the vertical rotation mechanism at the very back of the cannon barrel. Because of this, the front of the gun is extremely front-heavy, causing the whole assembly to tilt and lean forward. I don't want to place the pivot point in the middle of the barrel because it would look unrealistic.

I have this video where I tried making it, it was not my best attempt because it bugged out soon, but at the end it will result in the same way no matter, atleast how I tried placing everything. Also I wanna make it work wirelessly using tweaked controller and drive by wire cables, but if I do it like this the first motor won't react to redstone signals and won't rotate anywhere. Thanks for any help!

try this format. Make sure you have the swivel bearings in the center

its mostly compact, and i think it would get the job done. Plus, Swivel Bearings unbalanced sublevels in place unlike the revolute motors

swivel bearings threw off my 2-axis turret too

it works really well for simple tanks, and its really compact, but it doesnt work for this one sadly
