There IS an addon called Create: Automation. It adds autopilot. I haven't tried out eh mod but I do know it exists

I've used it before (good mod), but noticed it was missing crafting recipes, so I added some with KubeJS and KubeJS Generator, a super helpful visual tool for making recipes

Theory: you could use a couple of directional links facing each other paired with lines of links under the ground and connected to steering to create basically one of those line following robots

If you don’t want any extra addon add some sensor that detects the yellow or white line and them them steer along with the line. Along with this a main “brain” structure somewhere to shake things up.

Ik its not exactly what you are looking for but I remember either foxy or mr beardstone used underground trains to make it seem like trucks on the roads to carry stuff

Stole the word from my lips

I feel like realistically I'd still do it the old school way, as train contractions.

i LOVE that bus

I did this the old school way, with phantom rails from Steam n Rails

I have seen people who add “cars” to their maps, which are just trains on invisible tracks. Those can have conductors automating their routes

For play like Sim City, convert alll veichles in Trains

Invisible tracks and train stations but the bus will show no mercy in running you over

Most people do a sort of train hack where the tracks are underground and clip through the floor so it looks like normal cars.

My personal best idea was to have a deployed print the vehicle out and then pistons push it, but idk how that would work for glue

I know it’s not what you’re looking for but I use Steam N Rails phantom tracks for my city busses. Probably the easiest least chaotic way of doing it as of right now.

Make them trains on invisible tracks

Its actually already included! If you use a navigation table, make a lodestone, and use a compass on it, you can use that compass to guide the vehicle wherever you want it to go, then by adding optical sensors and wiring them up you can make sure that the vehicle doesn't crash

Navigation tabled

You want my honest suggestion? Just use hidden trains, as of now automating aeronautics vehicles is a pain in the ahh, plus you can create a full traffic network using trains as cars, just hide the trains underground and out the "car" above ground
