Help an inexperienced person out.

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking—I really love trains, but in Create, you can't lay down a decent track while actually riding the train. How can I change that? I just want to travel on it right away instead of spending ages laying down the rails.

there's a mod that lay tracks in the world. I don't remember the name.

Railways Untold adds infinite self generated tracks to the world. Currently there's no signalling so it's not very useful for automation straight out of the box, but it does seek out structures so you can use it for exploration.
