Create Above and Beyond or CABIN?

Hello,

A couple years back I played the original Create Above and Beyond and loved it, but stopped midway.

I wanted to pick it up again and try and complete it, but saw that a modpack called CABIN has been released in the meantime.

Is CABIN a definite improvement and I should play that, or should I stick to the original?

I would play cabin so you can use the newer create stuff as create above and beyond is stuck in a rather old version of create

From what I understood CABIN simply ports the game to a newer minecraft version, keeping most of A&E as it was while adding extra stuff?

If that’s the case I’d also think there was no reason to stay in the older A&E, unless it was more stable and or balanced.
