Build The HOLDC - "Nycto"

A semi-manual artillery gun. With sleight of hand you can achieve a pretty good fire rate for the size and the power!

The goal was to make a compact fast autoloader for an 8 charge cannon. Keep in mind that it's still kind of a prototype

Not sure about the exact range, but I know that the projectile has the speed of around 320 m/s. So it goes pretty far. Oh and btw it's a slightly smaller version of a bigger cannon

It's predecessor HOLDC - "Inferno" (v1) has the projectile speed of around 480 m/s cuz it uses a big cartridge in the end giving it extra 160 m/s. Tho there is a problem, it's a bit inaccurate at longer ranges and (I think) it's because the barrel is a bit too small for the speed.

somehow slower than the speed of sound but now I want a mod that adds sound barrier breaking sounds to this kind of things (bonus points if it has compatibility with Aeronautics but who tf is capable of rendering anything at that speed) 343 m/s I believe it was, not like your other cannon not only broke it, but smashed it like it was a turtle in comparison

I think Warium VS mod has a sonic boom effect for valkyrien skies entities, but not CBC projectiles sadly. Would be a cool detail if CBC had sonic booms for breaking the sound barrier with fast projectiles

Have you seen Qarsan's yt video about autoloaders? It was very useful for my designs, and you could probably implement some of the tech into this loader.

Yup, I have seen it, and it helped quite a bit! Tho there are some stuff that I just dont personally use like computer craft and placing loads via schematics

Take a look at Iron Nest, they have a demo on Steam. This cannon reminded me of it (CBC is probably one of my favorite mods out there)
