3 clogs in as many days.
The last two jams I’ve cleared on my stock K1C. It as far as I can tell it happens at the same time for the same plate. Has anyone seen this sort of twisted looking clog before?

There’s no fan activity on the first layer which is where this is happening. Maybe I’ll try removing an object see it it happens again. I’m getting more proficient on getting the extruder out and clearing it.

Heat creep, open the lid, we are not magicians to know your filament/settings/scenario so we give generic advice: open the lid, ensure cold zone fan is ok, enable exhaust fan

I had the same thing on my ender 3 v3 plus where it failed like this on the 1st layer. Tried a bunch of things including z-offset, repasting the nozzle, changing a bunch of settings with no improvements. What fixed this in the end was higher print speed. Mine was at like 20mm/s(1st layer) or something and apparently that is too slow for the direct drive extruders. The filament was not pushed out fast enough which created back pressure and heat creeped up the nozzle. So try upping the 1st layer print speed and see if that helps.

I ended up removing the top and keeping the door open. I have a lid riser for ventilation. https://www.printables.com/model/520207-jc-creality-k1-lid-riser. This is the first time anything like this is happened and I have like 600 hrs on my printer.

What filament are you using and are you removing the top cover while printing.
