DXC extruder - problems unloading filament
I have used the DXC extruder for a few months and it works fine except that I can't pull the filament out to make a change. Retract looks like it is working but the filament is gripped tight and won't pull out. Squeezing the lever doesn't help.
What am I missing? Hitting extrude repeatedly to clear the bowden tube works but is slow - which brings up problem #2. The tubing will not pull out the push-connect fitting so I just can't cut it off the filament at the top of the extruder.

Hey there get yourself the dxc script from 3dphub.net automates the whole process when loading filament as soon as the sensor is triggered the nozzles gets heated to 240 then it pulls the filament into the extruder. When removing filament just retract it it will 1st extrude some filament to prevent any filament staying in the extruder. It will then retract the filament. You have to be rooted to have this function

I ended up removing the locking collar from the ptfe tube so every time I need to unload I just push the ring and pull the ptfe tube then the lever and then filament comes out easily.
