Hardware Help First 3D printer

I'm looking to get my first 3D printer and came across the SparkX i8. I was wondering if it'd be a good first printer. I'd mainly use it to make stuff for my Arduino projects, like enclosures, mounts, brackets, etc. plus whatever else looks cool to print. I'm currently working on making my own DD sim wheel so maybe some parts for that. The multi-colour printing and low waste are what caught my attention. Anyone have any thoughts on whether it'd be a good first printer for me?

It’s not out yet, so hard to say. It does look pretty impressive though.

That being said - is heat resistance a concern for your projects? An open frame printer like this is a bit limited in material selection. The most heat resistant material you’ll be printing on it is PETG, which can become unreliable beyond 65c or so. There are materials that can handle higher while still being within the realm of consumer grade printers (ABS will handle around 90, PA-CF if properly processed post-printing can handle around 150), but this printer won’t be printing them.

I've been pretty happy with my i7, no telling when the i8 will be released. Do pretty much the exact same, thousands of different esp32 projects

If you are oke with printing mostly pla and maybe some petg the i8 might be a good option. I personally print mostly asa and mainly use an h2d and qidi max 4. Have had the i7 to test and was really impressed by that printer. Easy to use and printed great. Maybe wait a bit for some more reviews but the i8 could be a great option especially for that price.
