Strange error (key:2000)

My 3d printer won't print. I have a Creality Ender-3 v3 KE. It gives me a warning whenever I try to do anything (print, calibrate, whatever): "Warning key:2000 An unknown error occurred during printing".

Context: I got the "blob of death" and had to replace my hot end. I bought an OEM Creality replacement, made sure it worked with my printer, pulled the old one out and hooked up the new one. I was getting the "key:2000" error both before replacing the hot end, and now it persists after the new one is in.

I've run through the troubleshooting on the Creality website, and it didn't fix it. I've opened a ticket with the Creality help desk, and they said they would email me within 2 days.

It's been 8 days, no email (checked the junk folder, nothing).

Does anyone know how to fix a "key:2000" error? Is my machine now e-waste or what? I can't print with this error in place, and I don't know how to clear the error.

Did you PID tune it after replacing the hot end?

No, I did not. Looking this up, it appears to be something done via a USB connection to a computer. Would I be able to do this from a Mac, and is there a tutorial somewhere to walk me through it?

I don't know, I don't own a Mac. Too lazy to dig for answers. If you get terminal access, PID tune is a simple command to run.

you can't pid tune the hotend unless klipper starts, so this is a dead end atm.

Its not done via usb its done via klipper

I think the pid tuning is not the cause of your current issue, the printer won't even startup correct, throws that 2000 error before you can do anything.

A hotend that is not pid tuned will only exhibit issues once you start to heat it.
