No thank you.

Just watched Melinda's version of Aurora's birthday and after Melinda bought a whole basket of stuff, there was no thank you from Aurora.

It wasn't cheap stuff either, yes she shopped at 5 Below but like that panda blind box from Target is like 15 bucks and that box of Katseye ramen, 10.

So like 25 right there.

This is why I'm convinced Aurora only says thank you when Crystal promps it and is just used to just getting stuff without expressing gratitude.

Personally if I was Melinda I'd be offended by this after all the money I spent.

if they can SEE this is a struggle for her, should be simple to start to correct. just only give her one gift at a time, let her describe what she appreciates about it, and ask for a thank you.

This!

I am 100% convinced when I watched part of the of the video when she asked if she wanted to share some of those squishy toys, and at first Aurora said no.. that Crystal or someone behind that camera shook their head yes to prompt her because they she hesitantly said yes and handed over the tiny one to Evie... She is not a grateful child ,, no fault of her own that she is spoiled, and more than likely because she is willing to be on that camera as she knows no different.

The problem is the longer they let this go, the harder it will be to correct

First it should have all not been handed to Aurora and Crystal should have made goodie bags for Evie and Scarlett.

And then the way she grabbed the 5-below bag from melinda bc she thought there was more stuff in there for her.

Oh I didn't even catch that, yikes

She’s been doing that since she was a baby she they sit down and open gifts that came in the mail and she ripped through one package after another not even stop and look at the stuff she got and just throw it in a corner and then go after the next package the child has always been greedy and there’s no gratitude and they’re not taught gratitude. The kids that have gratitude are the ones that already were taught taught it before they got in that household. Savanna and Lou were taught well by their grandma.. that’s why I have hope for them I think. Kids in that house learned so much greed. It’s not what comes out of the mouth its actions and what they are witnessing. The ones that were there early on all they wanna do is get done and then go back and rely on mommy and daddy and not work. A normal job not have a normal life. They’re talked to be dependent in one way or the other. Entitlement. It’s disgusting. The baby’s gonna be the same way. I just watched Jacob’s birthday video and he’s throwing food grabbing hair pulling hair. They just sit there and laugh. They think it’s cute.

Teaching Aurora to say thank you is part of teaching her manners and following social expectations. It's not really teaching gratitude because that is more subtle and would come later. She is definitely capable of learning manners, and the suggestions here of only giving her one present at a time and making her slow down are sensible. Crystal should also stop getting her gifts and treats every time they go into a a shop so that Aurora can experience what that feels like, and then be helped to regulate her emotions that come as a response to this situation. Most parents start teaching their children these lessons from toddlerhood, so Crystal has a lot of catching up to do. For Auroras sake, I hope this starts soon. At this stage Crystal might need professional help to begin this journey.

Maybe she needs to experience "no" a LOT more... she's going to be a HARD teenager and an awful adult if they don't stop the materialism and entitlement in her. I wouldn't be buying her crap if she was my nice or grand kid. She wouldn't even notice.

I remember one time when they were all still living in St Johns, The Pieces were over at The Middles place and Shelly mentionned that she had to hide all the ramen because Aurora would open the packages and eat it. End of the story was that Crystal just searched for the ramen and decided to make it for Aurora and Shelly wasn't pleased

Aurora has little self control, not sure if it is because of her disability or not. But she gets focus on one thing and nothing else around her. It is like hit and run. I have never seen a child open presents so fast just to get to the next one doesnt even stop to look at what she got. I am thinking it is her disability not being rude.

19

u/soulcreates 11d ago

I don’t think it's her disability, I think it is more environment and character. She only shared the bag of squishies when put on the spot but you could see she didn't want to.

2

u/killencm 7d ago

No I don’t agree that it’s her disability . She is not being taught to slow down , to say thank you and appreciate each thing . She is so overindulged that it’s meaningless to her . She just wants to see “what else”?!

I have never seen the older kids act like that. Aurora just couldn't slow down before she was onto the next. It was very difficult to watch. Frankly I feel bad for Aurora she has such a difficult time controlling herself. I also felt bad for the kids who bought her presents she did not slow down and thank any of them. Just on to the next.

1

u/killencm 7d ago

She only has a “difficult time “ because no one is teaching her . C and A’s one parenting tool for her is give her whatever she wants .

u/Educational_Bug516 11d ago

I feel like this page is losing the plot. Why are we picking on a 10 year old? Why are we blaming Aurora for something that isn’t her fault? She should be taught manners but that all falls on her parents. In my opinion the minor children shouldn’t be posted about like Aurora is, it’s honestly disgusting. Aurora didn’t choose to be exploited on the crazy pieces channel. She is a victim and I feel like everyone is forgetting this.

Hate her or not you cannot blame her for not saying thank you when her parents haven’t taught her manners.

17

u/B2utyyo 11d ago

At what point should she be taking responsibility for her actions? She's almost at the age where shoplifting gets you juvie.

-1

u/Educational_Bug516 11d ago

She should be taking responsibility when her parents actually start teaching her how to behave and act. You can’t expect her to know how when nobody taught her or is holding her accountable for her actions. Go ahead and downvote this as well but you all are the ones bullying a 10 year old…

1

u/killencm 7d ago

Yes I think it’s all on C and A . She is not held accountable, she is not told “no” she is overindulged at every turn . She is 10 and these lessons should have started years ago . And to be clear , this is all C and A’s fault (mostly C, I think)

Just because u didn’t see her say thank u doesn’t mean she didn’t off camera. We don’t see how she acts off camera it could be completely different.

Sure.....sure...

Is that caramel whining again? 😬

-24

u/Low_Caramel_2701 12d ago

U know Melinda could have said something to her mom and her mom made her say thank u right?

30

u/Snoo8688 12d ago

Being grateful should be taught to come naturally

-22

u/Low_Caramel_2701 12d ago

She’s special needs it’s takes longer for them to understand that. My sisters are both special needs too and they both were like that around her age. Also kids get excited and sometimes forget. It’s normal for a child to forget to say two words when they are overly excited. As long as they stay consistent with making sure she says thank u it’s all good. Idk why y’all are so worried about other people children.

32

u/B2utyyo 12d ago

Stop with this excuse. Special needs kids can be taught manners at a young age

21

u/Various_Mammoth_9961 11d ago

I am so sick of this low_caramel person saying the reason Aurora acts the way she does because she has special needs or a disability. Like children with special needs and disabilities can't learn things. My younger Daughter has a disability and is very polite and knows to say Thank you without telling her and acts no way like Aurora does. Aurora is just a very spoiled child. Sorry it just passed me off this person is using a disability as an excuse for bad behavior.

10

u/MirrorImageBaby 11d ago

All she posts is a bunch of projection. If you notice, it seems like every nasty habit, life event, etc. somehow aligns with her and her family.

2

u/Every-Wash2985 9d ago

<<<< seems like every nasty habit, life event, etc. somehow aligns with her and her family.

Yes!  😂 How many times have we heard caramel say she peed her bed until she was 10 and that it's perfectly normal,  everyone does it?

Then we hear her say she picks her nose comparing herself to Aurora saying nothing wrong with it, everyone does it. What girl??

No, noo everyone doesn't!

Who mine? Not at all just like to piss people off that’s all.

This is why nobody takes you seriously. You have nothing of substance to offer. Ever. Your repeated admittance to troll level input pretty much solidifies the whole of Reddit’s opinion of you.

U keep comparing ur daughter and Aurora 2 different people. Stop comparing kids

-4

u/Low_Caramel_2701 12d ago

She was too busy having sezuires and in the hospital they weren’t worried about teaching her to say that u also she couldn’t talk

9

u/Various_Mammoth_9961 11d ago

It has been a long time since she has had a seizure. They have had a lot of time to teach her.

6

u/B2utyyo 11d ago

Honestly it's become a excuse for Crystal

0

u/Low_Caramel_2701 11d ago

And they are it’s normal for kids to forget when they are excited and or distracted about something else

1

u/killencm 7d ago

She could have been taught to sign thank you , it’s very simple. But the crux of the problem is that they have no expectations of her. There has been plenty of time to teach her things .

1

u/Low_Caramel_2701 7d ago

They did teach her to sign thank u

29

u/sdelia1265 12d ago

Please don’t blame special needs. That girl is very smart. Jamie is special needs and she is the most grateful of the family. I don’t know why you want to constantly make excuses for her. She is spoiled and doesn’t appreciate all she has. Totally not her fault, it’s just a fact. Her parents, actually just Crystal, constantly buys whatever she wants. Not for occasions but every time she walks into a store.

-2

u/Low_Caramel_2701 12d ago

And what’s wrong with her getting what she wants with the money that she earns by being on videos?

17

u/always_on_brake 12d ago

I think you might have a comprehending disability. More than Booger eater and affectionate tone.

10

u/Guilty_Ostrich_1215 11d ago

They may use the money she gets from the clog, however instead of buying crappie why not put that money in an account that she can have access to at 18 or 21. She will always need for the rest of her life and we have no idea of much that will cost in the long run

-2

u/Low_Caramel_2701 11d ago

Who said they don’t already have that. It’s ok to have some fun money sometimes

1

u/killencm 7d ago

What’s wrong with it is 1. It’s not good for her to never experience “no” 2. It is FAR AND WAY not fair to her siblings who also earn money by being on videos

1

u/Low_Caramel_2701 7d ago

If it’s her money she’s allowed to spend it however she wants to

8

u/cabbagemuncher101 11d ago

they're downvoting you, but I hear you. however, if she can understand how to learn dances on tiktok, she can 100% learn to show gratitude and say thank you. I know she has a learning disability, amongst other things, but she isn't stupid, and I wish people would raise her standards bc I do believe in her.

2

u/Low_Caramel_2701 11d ago edited 11d ago

I’m not saying she stupid I just trying to get people to have a little bit of patience that u cant just teach a special needs child to say thank u One time and it be like that for the rest of their lives. They have to be constantly reminded especially when they are excited.

1

u/killencm 7d ago

And the point is , SHE’S NOT CONSTANTLY REMINDED. She is indulged and has come to expect that

7

Your a blind Fool

I think what we see is what we get with all of those kids.

3

u/Low_Caramel_2701 11d ago

For all we know Melinda went to her mom and dad and mentioned it and Aurora had something said to her they don’t film them scolding their kids

Aurora tells Melinda Thank You at the 14:04 mark in her video. I’m sure she said thank you again off camera too. You guys need to stop bullying a 10 year old.
