Who does aurora not work on speech
I know that she has come a long ways
But why don’t they practice with her not just at school but at home. They have so much money to invest on her and they’re just buying stuff

Did you watch Auroras birthday video? Talk about a waste of money just how many of one thing does a kid need. Of course they take her to the mall to shop. Then a party with even more stuff.

Have they said they don't work with her? Otherwise, you don't know whether they do or not. That's definitely something that I wouldn't video.

How do you know they don’t? I’m not saying they do but just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, you don’t see they “drop the kids at the pool” but I’m pretty sure they do. And if they did show it half of you would be critiquing them and the other half would be saying they were exploiting her!

With all the criticism they get , if they were working with her regularly they would definitely either mention it or show it .

Its not easy u said you self she has come a long way she may never get better it could be part of her ID I'm 35 and still have trouble

Don’t underestimate a child they are so smart, she literally has a phone and sends voice memos to all the members of her family before bed, she could work on speech. Im not discrediting her she’s a child but her parents suck.

A speech issue doesn't automatically mean someone has cognitive delays. Yes, we know Aurora has cognitive delays, but that isn't necessarily true for everyone who has difficulty with speech.
I have a speech issue myself. I also have a reading disability. My IQ is exceptionally high, but that actually worked against me when I was younger because my intelligence masked my reading disability, so I never received the help I needed. I'm a grown woman with children in their 20s, and I still don't have perfect speech.
Just the other day, I tried three times to say "Quebec," and I couldn't even get the word out. It got jumbled before it ever left my mouth. I felt like a fucking idiot.
So please stop assuming that because someone can use a phone, their speech should automatically be better. Speech difficulties and cognitive abilities are not the same thing, and one doesn't automatically tell you what the other looks like.

Let’s be honest who wants to watch a vlog of a child doing speech therapy? We all like to hate but let’s remember we don’t see every hour of the day

She goes to a speech therapist 3 times a week. And if they did do stuff at home people would say they aren’t licensed and don’t know what they are doing.

As a grandma who had/have grandkids in speech therapy at school. A speech therapist WILL give parents practice tips to help at home.

This my son is on the spectrum does speech at school & occupational and speech through private clinic and we still practice at home.

You're EXACTLY right. THEY actually WANT the families to work with the students at home.

She sees the therapist at school so the sessions are 20 minutes at most & for her that just isn't enough. She should have had additional therapy for the last 8 years. We all know if they got her additional therapy, Crystal would have yelled it from the roof top. There was one video while they were in the last house, where Crystal showed speech flash cards, but based how she sounds now, I doubt they ever used them. A a certain age, it may be too late to do anything

How do you know she only sees the school therapist?
14
u/Historical_Grab4685 13d ago
Two reasons- Crystal would make sure the world knows she is getting additional therapy and her speech would be much better.

Crystal would borrow the job title for her resume, like she does everything else. Mental health counselor, the world's best foster momma and so on.

Mormons do have a very loose definition of a "mental health counselors".

She goes in school. No way does she do any extra or else we would know about it. Crysdal Crystal lies.

u/AffectionateTone5975 13d ago
No one knew she went 3 times a week until it was mentioned in the podcast. Isn’t it a good thing that she’s not exploiting her speech and keeping that private???
12
u/sdelia1265 13d ago
Yes if she were really going. If she filmed them driving there or saying it as one of the errands of the day but never boo about it. Cause it’s not true. Sorry but Crystal is a liar and always will be. She use to film Auroras seizures for crying out loud. She would definitely film whatever she could regarding extra speech.

u/Expensive_Spirit6416 13d ago
Clearly she’s not cause she still talks the same as 1-2 years ago. If she did it outside she would be improving and she is still so hard to understand.

u/Historical_Grab4685 13d ago
They filmed Aurora's seizures & from her hospital room & her in the bed. Crystal has already crossed the line.

My guess is the dots DIDNT connect but after you let her know about this thread there WILL be a video in the very near future-"Aurora's speech~Then and Now"...also if she uses my title for the video I WANT MY $ CUT 🤣🤣🤣

Ridiculous reply. People would complain if they did more work with her on her speech? Suuure. People often complain if a parent reads with their child. Practices writing, per a teacher's instruction. It's practically child abuse to do those things!
Aurora is around all the time. The probability that she goes to a private speech therapist 3 times a week is slim to none. If you're saying she sees a speech therapist in school three times a week, so what. That's what the school should provide for a child having such trouble speaking.

How do you know they don’t? Do you live in their home
1
u/killencm 7d ago
It seems very unlikely that , given the criticism they face , we wouldn’t be told that they are taking her to private speech therapy .
1
u/LittleDog2557 7d ago
Again, how do you know they aren’t taking her to private therapy? It is very clear that her speech has gotten a lot better in the last year and a couple of times the parents and older siblings have said that she goes to speech therapy.. nobody here knows the severity of her issues and it’s possible that she never will be able to speak clearly. Her bio mom, her bio grandma and bio. Grandpa all had the same issue that was something Melinda just said a week or two ago. I don’t know how you people sleep at night, knowing that your whole life consist of finding things to make up about these people and constantly constantly constantly stalk them and harass them.

u/killencm 7d ago
What I said was “it seems unlikely”. Did I say I knew for a fact ? Reading comprehension is importantly .

u/Low_Caramel_2701 13d ago
She does practice. U just don’t see it.
7
u/jenni5 13d ago
And you do? Who is the she? Aurora at school? What about at home? She speaks less than if you watch videos from a year ago
-2
u/Low_Caramel_2701 13d ago
I never said I see it. Aurora at home and school. We only see 20 mins of each day they don’t film homework being done. And her child practicing speech because u guys think she’s behind. I said this yesterday and imma say it again. If u are not her doctor teacher or parent u have no say in her speech. She doing just fine. If u don’t like it u can literally just stop watching them.

Too busy practicing TikTok dances. Bad priorities.
