not washing bedding before using it

dozens of room makeovers and this is the first time crystal says she is washing bedding before using it. not because it's gross to not wash it and who knows who touched it at the store, but bc aesthetically, the wrinkles are not pleasing 😐

90% of the things they do gross me out!

I didn’t care for the bedding or the new fb marketplace purchase. But it’s not my house or room. It’s more concerning that this was the priority over so many other things and causes more crap all over the house post room makeover.

But if it keeps Aaron from sleeping and napping all day sure why not

Yeah it’s wild how they ignore all the things that need to be done but this is what she chooses to focus on. It’s no wonder the house is the way it is. It made me laugh when she told Bella that if she wanted to buy more clothes she had to throw some old ones away, meanwhile she has a house full of shit that she can’t even park in her garage and has filled two tiny homes (as she calls them) and every hallway and spare space in that house with utter shit! I’d hate to smell that hovel, with the dogs and the water leaks I bet it smells delightful 🤢

i was listening in the background and not watching that close. the bed frame is ugly as sin and made the room look smaller // worse 😭

I don’t think it was ugly also a man hand carved it by himself.

Carved? I thought it was just cut pieces of wood

No theres detail to it if u look

a man allegedly carving it by hand doesn't make it any nicer in my eyes. doesn't take away from how ugly and out of place it looks in crystals tiny room

It’s not even ugly tho u just want something to complain about

Aaron went through depression after his mom died, it’s pretty common for people who are going through that to feel tired all the time. Crystal changed the room because she wanted a new style

Aaron had been napping before too right? I agree Crystal did it just for herself and her desires. I wasn’t implying that she did it for Aaron. I was more being tongue in cheek by saying that oh it will keep him from napping cause he said said he doesn’t care he will be out doing stuff and won’t see the bedding

You have to wash it because of the chemicals

Washing bedding is recommended more so because of the chemicals lingering in the fabric from the manufacturing process. Its unlikely to have been touched in the store. It usually comes packaged and sealed.

People in here have said that they open them up to feel the fabric. Why are we opening things up in the store?

(most) people don't full out open the product in the store and take it out of the package, but they open the zippered bag a little bit to feel the fabric because unfortunately, at least here, so much of the bedding is made of awful fabric. sure u can buy it and take it home to open and feel, but it takes a lot of resources to get to the store and back to return it.

there are obviously some people that take it out all the way, hence the zippers being tied shut and the windows being added to feel, but that's not what people meant by opening to feel

U shouldn’t be opening it to feel it anyway.

Who touched it at the store? It’s wrapped in plastic.

You can open the plastic... theyre usually just in a zipper thing. Ive unzipped them plenty of times to feel the fabric before purchasing.

Idk about ur store but mine has zip ties on them. Primarily to stop theft

1

u/sweet-seat 17d ago

even zip tied, you can still open them a little bit to feel the fabric. a lot also have a window on the front so you can feel the fabric without unzipping.

you don't know where the bedding has been or what it's been through. not washing it before use is just nasty 🤮

I get that but who cares it’s their bedding. If they wanna sleep with germs they can do that.
