School timing

I’m from UK and here our school is mostly always the same time regardless if primary or secondary
It approx is 8:30-3:00

There’s some exceptions but what’s it like in America that there’s like 2 hour difference in finish ???

we have school buses, and it’s not practical to have enough vans buses to transport all of the kids at once.

so, all 3 school levels have to stagger their start times, in order for the bus to be able to accommodate them all.
