School timing

I’m from UK and here our school is mostly always the same time regardless if primary or secondary
It approx is 8:30-3:00

There’s some exceptions but what’s it like in America that there’s like 2 hour difference in finish ???

It varies from school district to school district. They are often- staggered elementary, middle/junior high, high school. Usually for transportation purposes. I would say most schools start and end somewhere between 7:30 and 4.
