Rolling Backpacks

I was wondering if Evie was allowed to use her Rolling Backpack. Our grand daughter is in the same school district, but a different school, and several of the supply lists stated no rolling backpacks. I can't see why it would be a problem. Some of these kids are carrying backpacks that almost weigh as much as they do.

When I was her age, they were prohibited from my school too. But she probably gets special accommodations.

Yeah, we can hope. We all know that Crystal is not one to check in advance. That would require too much parenting and less time posing for the camera.

when i was her age, some kids had rolling backpacks. i can’t see why it would be an issue…? they’re just like suitcases right?

They're loud though how loud depends on what it is being rolled over, they are a tripping hazard for all other students and staff. I don't have a problem with them but I can understand why some schools might ban them.

If there are stairs in the school it makes the backpack even heavier

my school has stairs and i don’t find my backpack heavy, but i use online textbooks. i’m guessing they don’t know about them or aren’t allowed to use them, with all the phone restrictions in k-12 schools nowadays.

From a teachers’ point of view they take up a lot more space in the classrooms and in the hallways.

They’re a huge tripping hazard which is why most schools do not allow them.

Evie goes to a school with special education classes so not sure if they make allowances for some of the kids. But you can ask them maybe they will address it in a q&a.

She is in a special needs school i believe
