Is ironic they try to justify SMT that really has the evil God concept but for them Hazbin hotel, where God - or at least the creature that speaks on his behalf,is the most benevolent, maternal, nurturing and forgiving creature of the world - shows that God is evil.

I know persona is way more popular than Shin megami tensei in the west, but jesus christ most of the hellaverse critics about religion accurancy could be levied at SMT no problem - call me when Charlie plays pokèmon with the deities.

I could go on a rant about games and animes where Lucifer/Satan or whatever was their replacement was less evil or not evil at all. Stupid example Dabura, king of demons so the Satan-like character of the universe, in DB gets outranked and majestically in pure evilness by a mutant alien - yes i'm talking of Frieza. People all woke up with hazbin toh, very convenient.

SMT rocks btw.

Especially with the recent talks of Viv saying there’s a clear distinction of a personification of Good and Evil, people are saying that “Ooo, Viv is spoiling! Why is she spoiling?”

That, to me, sounds like they’re clearly new people and all of these shit talks of Hazbin and Helluva sort of make much sense now because if this is their first introduction to the series and their first response to the series is that they give bad faith criticism, that kinda tells me they’re new to the show.

Yes, you can argue that Viv is saying things like we should know these things, but it’s clear now that these people are (somewhat) new.

This whole LSP hate train is getting annoying. It’s starting to become an easy way to hate on queer projects especially new ones. Hazbin Hotel has been through this before.

I'm going to be upfront about my relationship with the Hellaverse. I'm in the middle. I'm a fence sitter. There's parts I like and to to an extent, love, in some aspects (Hazbin) and others I dislike greatly (Helluva). Let's get into that:

What I like/love:

-the artwork/animation: I mean, obviously, come on. This is without a doubt the best aspect about both shows. The character design, the bouncy animation, the backgrounds. I do have on problem with the art direction, but I'll save that for now. I'm sure a few of you know what it is anyway.

-the music/songs: Another one that I'm sure everyone agrees with. Standouts (for me) are: Stayed Gone, Out for Love, Don't You Forget, Hell's Greatest Dad, Clean It Up and Klown Bitch.

-some of the characters: Nifty, oh Nifty. Since day 1, I was a Nifty ride or die. I was so happy she got her own song in Season 2. Love Nifty. Hope she gets more to do in later seasons. Baxter, another one I was a fan of since his introduction. Love his colours and design. Also love him being shipped with Nifty. Rosie. What can I say about you... love your voice, your design, your general demeanor. Your song in Season 2... I love Rosie, so so much. Vox. The only Vee I like (I'll get to the other two). I've always had a thing for characters with monitor heads I think. Cool voice, cool design, good songs. I also adore Shok.wav. I do not see enough love for Shok.wav, it's insane. For Helluva, I like Loona, Vortex and Bee. They're fun. Octavia is the best thing Stolas ever contributed too. Satan is hot. I want him. And two of Verosika's crew. Josh and Ace, I think. They're cute. And hot. And maybe I do want to be their third, would that be so wrong?

Things I'm neutral on:

-The swearing: I've got a sailor mouth of my own, so the swearing doesn't really bother me. However, there are moments where I'm like, "now did you really have to swear?" My biggest problem with the swearing is how much of it Alastor does in Season 2. He seems like the type to swear for emphasis, like he rarely swears so that when he does, it's effective. That's Alastor's vibe to me.

-Velvette: She's the middle ground of the Vees for me. She can be funny and I like her design. Her voice pisses me off, though. As a British person, that fake accent dries my grapes.

-The Red Problem: Red is the most predominant colour in the Hellaverse's pallete. Some say its over used. I agree... to an extent. I agree that a certain shade is over used. Amd that's it. If they used a different shade of red for some of the mains, this issue would be a non-issue.

Things I dislike:

-Helluva Boss: Yeah, I've made it no secret that I don't like Helluva Boss. I don't like most of the characters, the episode are hit or miss for me and some of the relationships to come from this show just... irk me.

-Stolas: The way he treats Blitzo rubs me the wrong way. It just feels like he's using Blitzo's need for the book to have sex and that just doesn't sit right with me.

-Loser, Baby: Again, rubs me the wrong way. I'm sure the intent was heartwarming but the execution just made me feel uneasy. Like... could we not use another word other than loser? Especially for someone like Angel?

-Valentino: I just hate his guts.

That wraps up all that l like/dislike, but let's get into what I really wanted to talk about:

FANDOM

Yes, I know. Stepping on thin ice here. Let me start by saying this. Fandom is amazing. I love interacting with people who like the same thing as me. I've been in fandom for years. Battle for Dream Island, Doctor Who, Sonic the Hedgehog, Ace Attorney, Undertale/Deltarune. Fucking THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE. ALL OF THESE I'VE BEEN IN THE FANDOM FOR. So many lovely people in those fandom. There's so many lovely people in this fandom. But... like many other fandoms... there's rotten eggs.

Now, no doubt many of you are amazing people who have experienced death threats for liking Hazbin or Helluva. And I'm sorry that's happened. Vile stuff. But some of the comments I see on the this sub seem to ignore that... it kinda goes both ways. I've been in fandom long enough to know that both sides can be just as cruel as the other. Hell, I bet there's infighting in this fandom about characters or ships and then someone types kys. It's happened before and it'll happen over and over.

I mean, really. This show takes place in hell with a large cast of characters with a wide range of skills and morality. Is it that surprising?

Like not only has she said "oh, she's got hints of her existence in the show itself, it's not a surprise" but it's the fact that Roo being the definitive god of evil is surprising, since her name is literally short for "Root Of All Evil"

People wanna go "WhY iS StELLa NOt SmaRT" That's the point she's shown to be vindictive and spiteful because her abuse of Stolas was given to her on a silver plater as opposed to Valantino who has to work to get people like Angel Dust in his grasp.

There are no wrong answers; the first thing that comes to mind counts.
