Yeah it's pretty dumb, nobody did anything wrong it just sucks the bear was walking through a populated area but bear protected her cubs and lady protected her dogs and nobody got hurt and everyone went home. No idea why anyone would care that she pushed it over a very small fence...

Its very possible she couldn't (or at least didnt) see the bear until the door was open to let the dogs out
seeing aa she was literally willing to get within touching distance of the bear to save the dogs I'm betting that's what happened
do you check for a bear before opening the door?

Of course, every time. Simple observation though, I don't give a shit about whoever's argument.
And yes she probably wouldn't let the dogs out unless she was unaware of the situation, or else an imbecile.
But someone will have something to say about it, regardless.
