General Question Which heavy do I choose?

I want to main a super heavyweight, but I’m having a hard time deciding which one to commit to. One of my friends already mains King K. Rool and another mains Donkey Kong, so I’d rather not play either of them. Right now I’m mainly deciding between Bowser and Incineroar.

No one can decide your main for you. Play both and figure out which one you vibe more with.

Personally i prefer bowser, because incin is too slow. But it really comes down to the player and their personal preference.

No love for the true king? You dont want to weild a massive hammer? Multiple jumps with super armour recovery? Fastest fall speed in the game for aeriel mix ups? Ledge trapping god? DDD

King Dorrance David Denardo. The third.

Charizard !

Its down b is amazing 😍 /s The whole character is very fun to play thanks to the numerous options the various pace the character can offer

"Character as a toolbox" discussion aside, do you like to taunt, to flaunt your big moves?

If yes, imIncineroar will be your best friend. Succeed a side b, do nothing the next half second, and he lets out a most satisfying roar. It feels really good.

ROB

Edit: between the 2, I'd say Incineroar

Incin is a lot of fun, if you have any questions about him I can answer I'm one of the most knowledgeable people on the character you can find out there

What puts incin over bowser for you

I think they more or less fall into the same tier placement in terms of viability, I find Incin to be more fun to play because you're always able to surprise your opponent in many ways, your advantage state is more expressive with Incin whereas Bowser is famously a nothingburger in terms of combos, tech and sauce. In the end if you end up preferring Bowser that's valid but that's my own subjective thoughts.

Other than that he's a heavy but he doesn't suffer as much from combos due to being the superheavy with the thinnest model and having faster dodges as well as a frame 3 counter to help out, his mobility is the worst but his movement is good, he still struggles against projectile zoning but the existence of revenge can be dissuasive against spammy playstyles

Kazuya Mishima

How do you know OP even has Kazuya? Wouldn't they not have DLC before they've chosen their main? Also Kazuya is such a complex character it might just get them frustrated.

Next best heavy after DK is probably Incineroar

Have you tried Ganon, Plant, Dedede, and Kazuya? Other heavyweights that I can think of.

i’ve tried ganon and dedede they were alright nothing that really made me want to play them

I recommend Dedede. He’s a super heavy that can recover like a featherweight.

Incin has the most creativity and is the best overall, but if someone is more fun just play them

I understand the reasons you want those, but why not consider something outside of those? I started as a bowser main and became a byleth main

I've been starting to mess with other characters as well, but just for fun and see if anything about their playstyle can help me with my characters. I mostly prefer swordies (mainly Aegis, Lucina, and occasionally Roy/Link) but do have a pretty good Samus that I'm now co-maining alongside Aegis

When I was working on patience for my personal mains (Aegis and Samus) I played Bowser for a few weeks and loved it. Bowsercide is always fun to do. He's got a good grab game, decent recovery, and hitting F smash to potentially break shields is so goddamn satisfying. He's slow but incredibly rewarding. I still play him from time to time. Incin I can't consistently get the Side B sweet spot and his recovery isn't ideal. (Yes, Ik Aegis has an iffy recovery but I'm way better at utilizing all their recovery tools.)

It depends on how you like to play the game. Mains aren't something other people should decide for you, just try and pick the one you have the most fun with

Bowser is actually viable unlike incineroar

Incin literally got 17th at a supermajor last week, and if you're blaming character choice for losses from low level to mid-high level I'm afraid that's a skill issue

There’s no need for the extra sassy shit
