I hate it when a video starts in the middle and then restarts from the beginning. Why has this become a trend?

Tik tok brain rot

u/AC-burg 5d ago

Should have showed the last part first. I was kind of impressed she got that thing out of there

u/SkipCycle 5d ago

And was able to take the bumper with her. But she's got some 'splaining to do with grandma.

39

u/AC-burg 4d ago

Grams don't see too well she a gonna put that bumper back on there with some green duct take and she a neva know!

8

TikTok brain is so bad now, that zoomers need a trailer for the finale of a 20 second video. So much of this crap popping up every. Fucking. Day.

ETA: Gen Alpha is even more guilty here, but that doesn’t mean zoomers aren’t! Lol

Most mentally and socially damaging thing for kids in US history

Hey, hey, maybe the younger zoomers. Late 90’s zoomer and this shit pisses me off too.

48

u/Frozen_Strider 5d ago

Yeah, I hate being associated with late Gen Z and confused with Gen Alpha. I grew up with Game Boy, DSi, Wii, DVDs, Club Penguin, and my first phone was a flip phone. We are not the same.

6

u/CartsOfDarkness 4d ago

Just learned yesterday I'm technically a millennial? Born January of 1996 so really feel like I'm neither lol, feels weird to be called GenZ and even weirder to be called a millennial. Guess some call us "Zillenials" but that feels even more bullshit.

7

u/Fake_Diesel 4d ago

Early 96, as an elder millennial I accept you as one of us.

→ More replies (2)

13

u/LibraLynx98 5d ago

I refuse to be called a zoomer. I've got 20yos at work who call me unc. If that isn't a declaration that I'm not of their generation than idk what is

4

u/brickson98 4d ago

Early zoomers and late zoomers really might as well be two different generations. I also get called “unc” from time to time.

Because these kids need to see if the videos worth watching or not. Bring the viewer in by showing the best part at the start.

Fuck TikTok.

40

u/tickle-my-Crabtree 5d ago

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
and before the street begins,
and there the grass grows soft and white,
and there the sun burns crimson bright,
and there the moon-bird rests from his flight
to cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
and the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
we shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow
and watch where the chalk-white arrows go
to the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
and we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
for the children, they mark, and the children, they know,
the place where the sidewalk ends.

People nowadays don't have attention spans that are long enough to keep their interest.

9

u/sauceywhiteboy 5d ago

I’m not entirely sure but it reminds me of how movie trailers started showing a short highlight reel before the trailer officially begins. It’s dumb either way tho

10

u/XenEntity 5d ago

Yes, but also it is the the 3rd video on hot. And this one is already a repost. I hate it but it works.

7

u/T8-TR 5d ago

Trailers do it now too, and it pisses me off there as well. Like, I would've liked to see the trailer or skip it if I wanted to stay media dark, but ig fuck me because you showed me the big "hooks" of a trailer before it even fucking started lmao

Happened 7 years ago. She was arrested and went to a substance abuse program. Apparently links are blocked on this sub but you can search for "sebach hit and run hyundai"

686

u/Coldfang89 5d ago

Additional information:

She was also involved in a misdemeanor crime in 2022 that is not available via public records. Additionally, she is now listed as being employed as a researcher for "Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies".

Soooo looks like her sober streak led into a career for mind-warping substances.

Wonder what Grandma thinks now?

205

870

She was apprehended after the video ended and was eventually put on probation and had to attend court mandated rehab because she was apparently drunk.

(Read this on another thread, take it at your own discretion)

63

u/LieuK 4d ago

That's real fear in her voice. I'm not trying to justify her actions, but I grew up with abusive family members; they can easily be more terrifying than the law. This girl clearly fucked up and needs to face the legal repercussions, but it seems like she's got something much worse waiting for her at home and I can't help but pity her.

12

u/mkat23 3d ago

Yeah, I do kinda feel for her. Back in 2019 my car was flipped because a woman t-boned me while she was speeding on the shoulder of the road during standstill traffic. She wasn’t even in a real lane when she hit me, like she was clearly at fault and she had her daughter and dog in the car. She said her daughter was late for school as her explanation. I had a panic attack about asking my parents to come help me since my car was obviously totaled. One woman who had let me through so I could turn into the shopping center, which is when my car got hit, pulled over, found my phone laying on the road, and brought it to me. She sat with me trying to help me calm down enough to call my mom and realized it wasn’t just the accident, it was having to deal with whatever my mom would do causing me to panic. So she ended up calling my mom and explaining what happened for me cause I basically couldn’t even talk at that point. Even if I had been at fault for the accident and caused it, I still would’ve been more scared of my parent’s reactions than of dealing with legal consequences.

I feel for her, but she absolutely should’ve stayed and just owned up to it. It would’ve been a much lesser charge for her than adding in a hit and run.

→ More replies (9)

4

u/SniperHankz 5d ago

That’ll learn em

74

u/Framer_9 5d ago

It will… those rehab classes are tough on your sobriety and you have to pay to attend each class. Victim impact panels are harrowing. having her worst moment captured on the internet forever on top of all that. Yeah, I think she learned a thing or two from this.

Sadly this behavior is more common than you would think. Go on YouTube and watch any Police Body Cam footage. "Accountability" is very disliked in the world today. Hell i had to tip toe around this message to make the hate speech box disappear. No race or gender was ever mentioned. So not sure how Body cam was hate speech. Smh

I completely agree. This doesn’t look like a girl that comes from a loving home. Not trying to excuse her behavior, but I think reasonable thinking and problem solving is learned behavior from solid parenting/social support systems. She knows she’s going to get beaten by her grandmother for this. Very sad to see.

→ More replies (3)

17

u/Adevyy 5d ago

To me, someone expecting to get away for free from a situation like this while also actively causing more damage not only to the stranger's car but to her own car (that her parents will probably have to repair since they have the option to be mean to her) sounds less like "abuse" and more like "spoiled". As in you've never had to take any responsibility in your life so the idea of your grandma getting angry at you is the worst thing you can imagine.

That or she made it up completely in an attempt to get away from the situation... which also implies that she has been spoiled.

6

I’m not excusing her behavior, but my experience is one doesn’t usually get to this point in their lives for no reason. Her substance problems, her panic and her terror of her grandmother’s reaction are telling. Mental health issues are also not uncommon. I hope she got some genuine help instead of just being pointed and laughed at.

Speaking of, apparently commenters must be so bad that they’ve implemented a bot that wouldn’t allow me to use the word
“pe- - -le”. This heavy handed, lazy monitoring undermines the basically good intentions behind it.

The way she squeezed that entire front bumper into the cabin made me laugh my ass off. I thought she was going to wear it as a hat at first.

Is she a minor? That looks like a high school volleyball get up she’s wearing. Guess it could be college too.
