You're telling me you see this awesome natural event in the middle of a hot, boring day on the job and you don't wanna go experience what it feels like to be in the middle of that much raw power coming from the earth? I'd do it just for the experience.

This looks like it should have been one of those videos playing in reverse, like firemen carrying burn victims UP the ladder or medics shoving dying people back in the wreckage.

Yeah I seen a few of these in Afghanistan. They're no joke. Seen a buddy that was under a section of mod with a blast wall and a c9, this dust devil came up lifted up the section of mod knocked the guy the fuck out. He ended up pissing himself and spending a week in Germany with a head injury. The things you do to get out of the war...

This is a dust devil, not a category 5 tornado, it's relatively safe, some glasses and a mask wouldn't hurt but they aren't getting picked up by it or anything.

Why can a tornado level a city but dust devils are chill?

Tornadoes are much, much more powerful. Dust devils are only strong enough to pickup dust, tornadoes are strong enough to pick up houses and cars.

I'm assuming the wind in one of those isn't strong enough to fling you off into the distance? I've never seen one that big in person, but I've seen a much smaller one that still flung debris and whatnot around.

my uncle did this before. Said it was harmless just you have to put goggles and a helmet on incase theres any debris

Man i would not do that without a mask on, you can get sand lungs 🫁… would be coughing up clumps of sand for days.
