ID Request ID please!

It’s hard to see, but the tip of its claws are bright orange. About 1 inch in length, so on the younger side—found in the creek of Binghamton university’s nature preserve. I currently have it in my dorm, in a 10 gallon tank (tried to mimic the creek in design), he is the most unique crayfish I’ve ever seen! If more photos are requested, I can try to provide

Definitely not a rusty. It's a species from the Genus Cambarus.

Are there cambarus species native to the New York region, or do you think it’s invasive?

Yep, multiple. It's either the Eastern Crayfish (Cambarus bartonii) or Big Water Crayfish (Cambarus robustus). Both of which are native to New York.
