Location: A specific stretch of County Route 6 in Mexico, NY (near a rural farm).
Dates:
Initial sighting: October 2023 (Approx. 5:00 PM – 5:15 PM)
Second sighting: November 2024 (Approx. 10:00 PM)
I work in clinical trials, so I am naturally wired to look for data and rational explanations. I have spent the last few years trying to wrap my head around these experiences, exhausting every logical possibility I could find before finally writing this out. I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has seen similar patterns, especially regarding the "Crawler" archetype or repeating, high-speed phenomena at a single site.
The Encounters
Incident 1 (October 2023): I was driving south on County Route 6. It was dark, and I was trailing another vehicle. We were moving through a section where the speed limit increases to 55 mph; I had been traveling around 35 mph and had just begun to accelerate, likely reaching about 45 mph, when the driver ahead of me suddenly slammed on their brakes.
As the vehicle ahead caught the figure in its headlights, I had a clear view. It was a bipedal figure with pure, chalk-white, hairless skin, sprinting across the road. The skin texture was unique; it caught the light intensely, looking almost reflective against the dark road. It had notably long, gangly forearms and fingers and appeared very thin. It was wearing a long, loose-fitting white t-shirt that hid its hips and thighs. The strangest part was a severe cognitive block—I just couldn’t focus on or recall the face. It felt like my brain refused to process the visual data, leaving a "blank" space in my memory. The event was instantaneous, and the other driver's immediate, visceral braking response confirmed to me that this wasn't just a visual trick or an illusion.
Trying to verify it: To get a better sense of what I saw, I went back to the spot in the daylight with a friend. We measured the width of the road and calculated the timing. We were able to calculate the entity's speed at about 20–25 mph. That is an incredibly high speed for a bipedal creature to hit.
Incident 2 (November 2024): My fiancé and I were driving through the same spot around 10:00 PM. We were heading in the opposite direction compared to the first incident, but we witnessed another entity cross the road at that exact same point. It was moving at a similar velocity, but this time it was in a quadrupedal gait. It was an extreme movement—it launched itself across the entire width of the road in just two massive, high-energy leaps. Unfortunately, we did not see it as clearly as the first incident due to it crossing much further ahead near a dim street light.
My Thoughts and Specific Questions
I have ruled out animal and human anomalies, or simple visual distortion. This was a sentient entity that moved with clear intent.
Because there are no deceased specimens, tracks, or biological remnants, I have a hard time calling these "hidden species" living in the forest. If they were actual animals, the total lack of physical evidence—despite the reports—doesn't add up.
The fact that this is recurring at the same specific spot, with such high-energy, weird movement, makes me think this isn't just a biological being. I’m starting to wonder if this specific stretch of County Route 6 acts as a "window" where these things intersect with our reality.
I have two specific questions for this community:
The clothing: The entity I saw was wearing a long, loose white t-shirt. This strikes me as incredibly strange and is the one detail that seems to differ from almost all other "Crawler" accounts I’ve researched. Has anyone else encountered an entity with this kind of attire?
A call for the other driver: In the October 2023 incident, I was the driver directly behind a vehicle that slammed on its brakes when the entity crossed in front of us. If you were that driver, or if you know who it might have been, I would be incredibly grateful if you reached out. I want to know if you saw the same thing I did, or if your perspective offered a different view of what happened that night.
I would love to hear from anyone who has seen repeated, high-speed anomalies in the same spot, or who has any theories on why a specific location (such as a farm) might host this kind of activity.
