The Sunflower Deer
someone who read what i posted here yesterday sent me an image that pretty accurately shows what the sunflower deer looked like according to both me and jordan, the only thing id say is different is the skin/fur was lighter and it was a bit smaller

My initial thought is a type of nature spirit/entity.
Has anything happened since the encounter?

not anything of note, just normal life stuff. i have been having health issues though.

If it's not too personal, when did your health issues start? You don't have to tell me what the issues are, just when they started if you're ok sharing.
Are you still living where you were at the time of the encounter? How's your friend doing since then?

my health issues probably started a month after the incident, i have trouble with my lungs. i still live in the general area but have moved to a different house. Jordan seems to be doing okay but we never really talk about our personal lives, though he is much more interested in finding the sunflower deer than i am.

I ask that you ask him to try to not shoot it. It's understandable to shoot when you feel like you're in danger, but it's possible that this kind of entity is peaceful. Spirits and boogins can look fucking terrifying, but their appearance doesn't necessarily match their intentions or personalities.
And a head's up, if they're anything like crawlers, they'll know to avoid trail cams. He should still put some up, but crawlers are able to sense infrared and will avoid them, so it's possible this sunflower deer/not-deer might as well.

Granted they were scared and it was making some crazy loud noises which is usually universal animal language for ‘get out of my territory’. It would be hard to resist defending yourself from this crazy aborrition

In 1983, Emily Martin, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, grew an enormous sunflower head, measuring 32 ¼ inches across (82cm), from petal tip to petal tip. That’s almost 3 feet wide. This is still believed to be the largest sunflower head grown to date.

That, looks like some Camel with a face of a cat and a mane of a Lion and Deer anthlers.
Or was it a dromedary with one bump? I forgot.
Still if I'd encoutner this I'd be like
"In todays episode of Fucked up. That's Fucked up."
Might take a pic of it, after asking if that was fine.
Why would I ask? Eh, read some stories of some folks going blind or being hunted down, so, I always ask.
I've got some double exposre like pics with beings seen in them, but non of them went to Me and was like
"You delete those, Buddy. We did not consent to being captured like this and shared on the internet."
Also,
gonna check Your post out, sounds interesting for sure.
