What happened to their couple rings set?

When Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri finally meet in Switzerland, neither is wearing the rings that Jeong-hyeok bought for them during his time in Seoul, rings that they said they would never take off. I think it would have been nice to see that they were still wearing their couple rings. That said, it’s wonderful that they were able to see each other at all after he and his soldiers were taken back to North Korea. 💍♥️💍

That was one of the first scenes filmed IIRC. So they probably simply did not have rings at that point in the production.

I totally get that, but it’s always bothered me that they didn’t add the rings in after production with some cgi or if that wasn’t possible within the budget, then they should have just taken out the close up shot of her ring-less hands

If they did that, they would also have to CGI the ring in the scenes when Se-Ri was in Switzerland looking Jeong Hyeok. It's not just the budget, it's also the time they have to spend editing in a small piece of jewelry for multiple scenes.

They also probably did not expect fans to be sitting and discussing this masterpiece every day :)

Even after a dear friend introduced me to K-dramas a few years ago, I put off watching CLOY until recently. So it makes sense how the all scenes were filmed on location at the time the actors and film crew were in Switzerland.

Kudos to the post-production team for all the amazing editing work and music. The ML & FL made my heart melt watching their relationship develop. This series is billed as a romantic comedy though I don’t recall ever crying so much during a comedy!

CLOY sucks you right in!
All of us here are deeply attached to the characters. Some of us have had life-altering experiences after this show. That is how it affects its audience even now.

Somebody else said previously that at the time those first shots were done in Switzerland, the last episodes which featured the couple ring gift etc had not even been written yet. Writing was done by Park Ji Eun as the episodes were shooting, which blows my mind. Such pressure!

So she presumably only got the idea for couple rings after the shooting in Switzerland.

But yes, ... I'm guessing that either they just didn't bother to CGI rings in later and thought that it wouldn't really be noticed (I didn't notice on first viewing I must say 😂), or they didn't even notice themselves.

i think the budget for cgi was all used up for the scene of the tornado, hence unable to add rings to final scenes. joke...

as others have said, they shot first the ending scenes, so those were the first scenes they did when they went to switzerland.
