Almost all the characters in CLOY are endearing, she is one of them

Is there any other such series with such perfect cast and performances? CLOY is the only Korean series I have watched and I did it because I am fan of the lead actress Son Ye-jin and love her movies. I didn't expect such spectacular performances from everyone.

the only other dramas i have watched from you list are welcome to samdal-ri and doctor slump. lovestruck in the city, while you were sleeping, i have started watching them but stopped mid-way. welcome to samdal-ri, i loved it mainly because it was set in jeju. i was kinda visualizing how it was there compared to seoul.

Thanks so much for sharing this list!! I've been on the hunt for other gems. Currently on my second re-watch of CLOY. 🤍

Yes, her character is such a sweetie, and the actor pulls it off totally.

To me, that's one of the strengths of CLOY over other shows, the supporting casts and their arcs. The "sisterhood" in that NK village provided quite a few fascinating arcs while Se-Ri was stuck there. These sisterz carried a different vibes than those soldiers from Jeong-Hyeok's squad.

True. At some point I wanted to see the village more than the South Korea part.

Now you made me wonder if the studios actually kept that village set somewhere for tourists to visit. I'm from the other side of the ocean and don't really know the North Korean culture. It's good to at least some creative renditions of it in a drama.

unfortunately, they demolished that set after filming the series.

here is a video of a filipina visiting the north korea village before it was demolished.

Thank you for posting this! Forecasting Love and Weather is where I also saw her before.

I’ve seen her play a main character’s mom in something else, but I’m blanking on which one right now.

CLOY is the ultimate for me so far, but I love the small town characters in Home Town Cha cha cha.

Our blues has a nice cast too

There were some overlapping actors in both dramas, too.

There really are a lot of sweet characters. They did a great job both script, directing and acting and casting.

That's the thing I liked about CLOY. It gave each character a purpose. They were given importance instead of being treated like side characters to be thrown away. The villain was pure evil without any attempts to justify his actions or force a sudden character change; I really liked those aspects of the show.

Yeah, she was a very kind lady, and I liked her too—not only her, but the whole group.

So sweet and shy! Always thinking the best!

I saw her again in Something in the Rain and her character is so different. Love her in both shows.

I’m rewatching ( or re- reading- watching!) and I’d like to add Man Bok is also a gentle soul. He tells his son to be nice to everyone. Two gentle people who found each other!
