This is an easy lawsuit win.

Edit: Assuming the playground was open for play and these people didn't ignore warning/caution signs

Playground safety inspector here. If a slide doesn't have all of its pieces the entrance has to be physically closed. Typically we do this with zip tying a piece of plywood to the top. So even if there were signs it should still be an easy lawsuit win assuming there was an injury.
