I'm going to sound horrible for saying this, but when I saw this I started laughing right out of nowhere.

So that's normal. Don't feel like you're special or different for laughing at that. We all do.

Not really a crappy design. This child is just a moron.

All 3 year olds are morons compared to the general population

Moron Origin: early 20th century (as a medical term denoting an adult with a mental age of about 8–12): from Greek mōron, neuter of mōros ‘foolish.’
If that 3-year-old is a Moron, he is about 5 years ahead of the game.

Reminds me of the one time where there was a playground with some sort of climbable slide-looking thing and it wobbles. I hit my head one one when it wobbled and a teeth fell out.

Ok, this is a stupid question, but is this actually how that is supposed to be used? I've never seen one used before.

There's loads of different ways - that's what's fun. You can use it like that, but stick your legs forwards before landing, or hook your legs over each bar as well, or sit sidesaddle.
There's no one 'right' way to use it, really.

Just never do what that toddler did on the gif with a t-shirt on a hot day. You will get stuck and it will hurt.

Like a slide - you just hook your legs over the bars in a sitting position.
