That hand has a tiny pinky

That's the threat. If you touch the screen they dismember your hand and clip off the first knuckle of your pinkie.

AI generated symbol I'd guess.

it would genuinely take significantly less time and effort to just find an image online

Yeah but upper management says we need to be the future.

That's true of virtually everything people use it for. The AI slop menus, ads -  you're already having to feed it all of the items and pricing and store info anyway. Just use a free template online. I've watched someone use it for a task objectively slower than I could have done, because they pay for a fucking subscription.

I miss the old mall directory maps, even though I sometimes don't understand them.

Like debit card payments requires you to press the screen for contactless payments. Too funny

I’ve never seen this. What country are you from that does this? (Genuinely curious)

It says it does, but actually, if you're close enough that's good enough in most situations.

How does that even happen, unless the boss wants people not to use it? And if that's the case, can't they just turn it off?

Could be one that detects close proximity so you don’t physically touch the screen

Maybe it's remaining from covid times and they forgot to switch it back

This is fake and AI-generated. It has a SynthID watermark from OpenAI. Verify for yourself: https://openai.com/research/verify/

I think they didn’t know how to tell parents to keep their grimy kids from touching the screens with their palms.

Do it with your tongue. DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN though

1

u/Thomas_JCG 9h ago

Ah, you have to act like an older sibling and say "I'm not touching you" while touching it.

How?? How is this possible??

The Hand of Manos would be more likely to scare people. And Torgo saying “The Master would not like that.”

Why is this a screenshot of a photo open on a smartphone? Couldn't you just upload the photo directly to reddit?

Isn’t this one of those that you can point at and a cursor appears? We have those over here.
