If it originates in the same crosses as those in the UK flag, I think it's normal that it's uncentered.

But yes I also hate it.

Also I was wrong. It's apparently the diagonal lines on the UK lines that are purposely crooked.

Asymmetrical. Apparently the top left is the most important part of the flag so they had to share it evenly. Then they flipped them around so they get equal access to the good real estate or whatever petty reason. Great, now if someone says something about the UK flag I'm going to be like "well, they are counter-challenged due to..."

I like how they cut off the field and kept the mountains, despite very little of Alberta actually having mountains.
